What is Mobile Recharge Software?

Mobile Recharge Software is a digital platform that allows retailers, distributors and B2C customers to perform prepaid mobile recharges, postpaid bill payments, DTH (Direct-to-Home) top-ups, and data card recharges across all Indian telecom operators — Jio, Airtel, Vi (Vodafone-Idea), BSNL, MTNL — through a single interface, without needing separate recharge accounts for each operator.

UP17 Communication's Mobile Recharge Software is designed for entrepreneurs who want to build a recharge business — from a single retailer shop to a multi-tier distributor network with thousands of retailers across cities. The platform connects to API providers (such as Cyrus Recharge, RechargeMozo, EROUTE or your own operator direct agreements) that provide real-time recharge execution across all operators.

The software operates on a wallet-based model: retailers pre-load their account balance and use it to process recharges for their customers. Every successful recharge instantly credits a commission back to the retailer's account. The admin (distributor/master distributor) earns the margin between their API cost and the retailer's commission structure.

The platform is fully white-labelled and can be deployed as a web portal, an Android app, or both. It includes a complete admin panel for managing retailers, wallets, commission structures, daily reports, transaction logs, and dispute resolution. With India's 1.1+ billion mobile subscribers recharging monthly, the recharge business remains one of the most stable and scalable income opportunities in the fintech space.

Key Features

Everything you need to run a successful Mobile Recharge Software business.

Multi-Operator Recharge Engine
Process recharges for Jio, Airtel, Vi, BSNL, MTNL and all regional operators from a single API connection. Supports prepaid recharge, postpaid bill payment, special tariff vouchers (STVs), validity recharges and data add-ons. Real-time operator plan lookup built in.

Retailer Wallet Management
Each retailer has a pre-loaded digital wallet. Admins credit wallets on receipt of bank transfers. Every recharge automatically debits the wallet. Real-time balance display. Low-balance alerts trigger automatically — no transaction fails silently due to insufficient balance.
Multi-Tier Distributor Network
Support a hierarchy of Admin → Master Distributor → Distributor → Retailer. Each tier manages their sub-tier independently. Wallets flow from master to distributor to retailer. Commission structures differ by tier — higher tiers earn override commissions on sub-tier transactions.
Commission & Cashback Engine
Set per-operator commission rates (e.g., 2.5% on Airtel prepaid, 1.8% on Jio). Commission is credited instantly on successful recharge. Cashback campaigns, loyalty bonuses, and milestone rewards configurable per retailer tier. All commissions visible in real-time wallet history.
Transaction History & Reports
Every transaction logged with timestamp, operator response code, transaction ID and commission earned. Retailer can view their full transaction history and download PDF receipts. Admin views network-wide transaction logs, success/failure rates, and revenue reports by operator and date.
Automatic Failure Handling
If a recharge fails after the retailer's wallet is debited, the amount is automatically refunded to the wallet within seconds. No manual refund processing needed. Failed transactions are logged with API error codes for admin review and operator dispute filing.
Customer Receipt & SMS
On successful recharge, the end customer receives an SMS confirmation (if the retailer enters the customer's number). Retailer gets a digital receipt with operator transaction ID. Branded receipt templates configurable in admin panel.
Operator Plan Checker
Built-in plan checker module: enter a mobile number, select operator and circle, and view the currently available prepaid plans, data add-ons, validity plans and STVs. Customers can make an informed choice before recharging — reduces wrong recharges and refund requests.
Business Intelligence Dashboard
Admin dashboard shows real-time total recharges, revenue, active retailers, operator-wise volume and failure rates. Daily, weekly and monthly comparison charts. Identify underperforming operators or retailers. Export reports to Excel for accounting.

Why Choose Mobile Recharge Software by UP17?

We build enterprise-grade software tailored for the Indian market.

Low Investment, High Volume Business
A mobile recharge platform requires minimal capital compared to travel or e-commerce. Retailers invest a small wallet amount, process hundreds of transactions daily, and earn steady commission income. You as the platform owner earn the spread on every transaction across your network.
Recurring Revenue Stream
Mobile subscribers in India recharge monthly at minimum. Your retailer network generates recurring daily transactions — not one-time purchases. As the retailer network grows, revenue compounds without proportional cost increases.
24×7 Automated Operations
Once a retailer's wallet is loaded, they can process recharges at any time without involving your operations team. The entire process — request, API call, execution, commission credit — is fully automated.
Build Your Own Brand
The platform is 100% white-labelled. Your retailers see your brand — your logo, your portal name, your app. You are not promoting the API provider's name. Retailer loyalty is to your brand.
Expand into a Full Fintech Suite
Once a recharge platform is established and your retailer network is active, you can easily add BBPS (bill payments), AePS (Aadhaar cash withdrawal), DMT (money transfer) and IRCTC rail bookings — the same retailer network becomes a one-stop fintech outlet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've answered the most common ones below.

No. You connect to a recharge API provider (like Cyrus Recharge, EROUTE or similar) that already has operator agreements. One API connection gives you access to all operators. We integrate the API you hold access to — or advise you on getting an account with a provider.
Retailers transfer money to your bank account and report the payment through the portal. Admin verifies and manually credits the retailer's wallet, or you can enable auto-credit via payment gateway integration for instant wallet loading.
Commission rates depend on your API provider's payout structure. Typically, Airtel prepaid pays 2–3%, Jio 1.5–2%, BSNL 3–4%, DTH 2–3%. You can pass some or all of this to your retailers and keep the remainder as your margin. The admin panel allows you to set different commission rates per operator per tier.
The base package includes a responsive web portal. A native Android app is available as an add-on. The app connects to the same backend — retailer accounts, wallets and transactions are fully synced between web and app.
Yes. The portal supports concurrent sessions. A retailer running a busy shop can process multiple recharge requests from the same login — each request is queued and processed independently with its own transaction log.
The platform supports multi-API configuration — if your primary API provider is unreachable, the system automatically routes the recharge request to a secondary provider (if configured). Failed transactions are auto-refunded to the retailer's wallet.
